Manila De Iuliis is an Architect and Urban Planner. She graduated in Architecture at the University of Florence, Italy, and she got a PhD in Construction and Property Management at the University of Salford, UK.
She has more than 20 years of professional experience both in the public and private sectors, covering the roles of Senior Urban Planner, Urban Manager, and Chief Urban Development Officer. Systems thinking applied to sustainable urban development with focus on the role of Time in decision making processes are the main fields of interests in her daily research and working activity. She is active in teaching collaboration with the Earth Charter International. She is member of CIB – International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction.
